Chris's EdyuKashun Page Hey, who's that guy. Oh, it's me. My name's Chris Weinreich. I am a full time student at Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids Iowa. I am a senior vocal music education major (K-12 certified). I earned my associate degree at Kirkwood Community College. There I was involved in both instrumental and vocal music. I studied voice under Barbara Buddin (who one must bow three time a day to Mecca for), I studied piano under Tim Li, and I studied guitar under Dan Towey. I was heavily involved with their Concert Chorale under the direction of Ray Salucka. I was only the second student to ever put on a student recital (voice) at this school. From there I went to the University of Iowa. If there are any undergraduate music major out there that are thinking about going here, do yourself a favor and JUST SAY NO!!!!! The music department out there is terrible and they think that they are great. I was the most talented baritone out there and most of the faculty did not even know my name. I left after one semester their with a 3.7 gpa. And now here I am. My fifth undergraduate year here at Mt. Mercy. We have a very small music department here (there are only 6 music majors here including myself). I am studying now under the direction of Daniel Klienkenect. I am heavily involved with the concert choir and I am currently the section leader for the basses. My duties include conducting sectional rehearsal and conducting the entire choir on occasion. News: On 12/6/00 I performed my senior recital at Mt. Mercy's Stello Hall at 7:00pm. I also conducted a portion of the Christmas concert on 12/7/00 at 7:00pm. We did Fantasia on Christmas Carols by Ralph Vaughn Williams. |
