Here's the "skinny" (as the kids would say these days). I met this girl my first day at Mt. Mercy and I was nothing less than astonished. Not only is she very beautiful, but also the finest musician at Mt. Mercy. To cut the story short I asked her out (after a couple of months getting up the courage), we hit it off, and now were engaged. I had arranged it at the Collins Plaza in Cedar Rapids so that our waiter would bring out my guitar (Desir, who you can meet on this page.) when it was time for dessert. I then played her Now and Forever by Richard Marx, got on one knee, proposed, and then she said yes (someone should really talk to this girl). The entire place then erupted with applause for us (someone should really talk to them also since my guitar was severely out of tune and my hands were shaking terribly). =) Anyway, I couldn't be happier with the way things have turned out. Having the person that you love more than anything in this world agree to a commitment like this is a high that I cannot convey with words. And if you're reading this, I love you Jessi. |
